MAINWAVE photographic featuring in RIBA exhibition through August
15 July 2008
I'm absolutely delighted that RIBA (the Royal Institute of British Architects) have asked to include one of my photographs in a forthcoming exhibition at CUBE, the Centre for the Urban Built Environment in Manchester.
The photo depicts the Halo, a public sculpture in Haslingden and one of four "panopticons" built between 2003 and 2008 on hilltops around Lancashire. It's a wonderful structure to photograph, and I was very pleased to take this picture on commission from the designer, LandLab.
The exhibition, entitled RIBA Competitions Exhibition - Small Projects within the Leisure Sector, runs from 2 August to 6 September at CUBE, 113-115 Portland Street, Manchester.
Winner of the Sale Photographic Competition

My photo entitled Barney and Hannah has been awarded first prize in the annual Sale Festival Photographic Competition.
This year's theme was Leisure in the Locality. I entered four photos, two of which are runners-up and will be included (along with the winning shot) in a gallery exhibition at Sale Waterside throughout June and July.
